Preparations underway for annual light show

WICHITA FALLS, TX - It is the final stretch for the "Burns Fantasy of Lights" at Midwestern State University.

Every year, dozens of floats of all themes, shapes and sizes fill the Hardin Yard of MSU including Emerald City, Peter Pan and Santa's workshop.  Coordinators say the floats don't come without hard work.

"In early fall around the first part of October we dive into the bid of painting and cleaning that we call a work day out at the fantasy of lights workshop," said Dirk Welch, the Coordinator of Fantasy of Lights.   "The refurbishment effort of the floats is something that go on year around."

The lighting ceremony will happen November 21 and the community can go and see the Christmas Magic until Christmas Day.
