WICHITA FALLS, TX (KAUZ) - The Christmas countdown is on, and with seven weeks to go some people are already starting to shop for the season.
Let's face it, many of us could use a little Christmas magic to help us prepare for the holiday, and that is exactly what the Junior League of Wichita Fall's Christmas Magic event is doing.
It is the shows 35th year, and is being held at the MPEC in Wichita Falls this weekend.
With 57,000 square feet of shopping and about one hundred other vendors from all over the country, there is something at the show for everyone, and hundreds are expected to come out and get into the holiday spirit.
Many merchants come back year after year, and one of those is a company from Louisiana called All of Us.
The business sells a variety of soups, breads and dips.
Those who are running the All of Us booth this year at Christmas Magic said Wichita Falls is a good market, and they look forward to and prepares for this event.
"We start in about August trying to get all of our stock ready for the Christmas shows and the Wichita Falls show," said Shelly Quisenberry, salesperson for All of Us.
There will also be fun for the little ones.
For a small fee on Saturday from 10 to 11 in the morning, kids can wear their pajamas and enjoy a story, crafts, pancakes and of course a visit from Santa Clause.
In true holiday fashion this event is also about giving.
The Junior League of Wichita Falls has raised over $3.2 million thanks to Christmas Magic.
Those funds go to dozens of community projects in Wichita Falls like Patsy's House, local food banks, First Step and much more.
