WICHITA FALLS, TX (KAUZ) - Dozens of Texomans came out to the MPEC Friday night for what some are calling "a once in a lifetime opera experience in the falls."
The Dallas Opera and the Priddy Foundation simulcasted the live performance of Moby Dick from the Winspear Opera House in downtown Dallas to the Kay Yeager Coliseum.
Many of those who attended the free show said they were excited for this opportunity.
"We get a chance to see some world class opera and not have to drive two and a half hours to see it," said James Long, from Wichita Falls.
Virginia Mertel and her great-grandson Dakotah Weatherly said this event was great for all ages.
"It's really history you know, and they've made beautiful stories about it and it's a classic, we're excited," said Mertel.
Those who showed up early also got to see behind the scenes interviews with some of the performers, and some information on the local arts, including the Wichita Falls Theatre.
