Canned food distributed to area food banks

DEVOL, OK (KAUZ) -

 Kiowa Casino has been working to help feed those in need and on November 21, the goods brought in from the can hunger food drive were distributed.

  
The food collected will go to many groups including The Wichita Falls Area Food Bank, Lawton Food Bank, Faith Mission, The Kiowa Tribe of Oklahoma and other local area food banks.


Not-for-profits will also be recipients of the canned goods collected for this annual food drive.

The Assistant General Manager of Kiowa Casino John Peters says, "we're now on are 9th year, every year it seems like the community steps up and recognizes the importance of helping others this time of year."

They reached their goal this year of raising over 20 tons of food.
