Local business offers customers different options

WICHITA FALLS, TX (KAUZ) - Two small business owners put their minds together and came up with an idea to open a store for start ups in Wichita Falls.
It encourages customers to shop local while supporting entrepreneurs who aren't able to open a store of their own.
Inside the doors of The Loft Marketplace you will find ten vendors, all locally owned, that offer a little bit of everything.
You can find things ranging from clothing to candles and art.
There is also an art studio with painting classes taught each week.
After one month, Co-Owners Sarah Williams and Tammy Robertson are encouraged.
"It is really good to have everybody from within the community to join our team," Robertson said. "Everybody has a loyal following. So it brings in a lot of customers from not only Wichita Falls, but the surrounding areas as well."
"This is their way of having a store front," Williams said. "They may do online, special events or shows. But this is a way that they can have a store front. When we come together we are bigger and better than we are each separately."
The Loft Marketplace is currently full and has a waiting list for vendors.
But Williams and Robertson encourage small business owners to get on the waiting list for when spots open up.
The Loft Marketplace is open Monday through Saturday and also has night shopping after some of the painting classes.
It has been busy since it opened a little over a month ago and hopes for strong showing during the "all important" holiday shopping season.
