SCAM ALERT: BBB Warns Parents Be Aware Of Fake Letters From Santa Web-pages

WICHITA FALLS, TX -

As we get closer to the Christmas Holiday season the Better Business Bureau is warning consumers to be on the lookout for fake "Letters from Santa" websites. While there are several trusted companies that offer personally written letters from Santa, but there are scammers out there that mimic them to get personal information from unsuspecting parents that sometimes pay for the services.

"You just want to guard your personal information at all costs. Some of these may require a small payment so then you're plugging in your credit card information or bank account information. Anytime you're entering in that type of information proceed with caution and make sure that you have checked out that website," said Monica Horton of the BBB.

Thankfully the BBB offers a website verification tool that parents can use to make sure they don't become a victim. Horton advises parents and those seeking Santa to visit the BBB Holiday Helper site by clicking HERE.
