Police chase leads to arrest and recovery of stolen vehicle

WICHITA FALLS, TX (KAUZ) - The suspect responsible for a car theft and police chase in Wichita Falls is behind bars.

Just before 8 p.m. Thursday night, Wichita Falls police tried to pull over a vehicle, but they say the driver took off and led officers on a brief chase before ditching the car at the intersection of Red Fox Road and Roanoke Drive.

26-year-old Ryan Christopher Jordan Pikes was taken into custody on Gray Fox Road, just one block over.

Pikes is facing two charges of Evading Arrest in a Vehicle, Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle, and Possession of Marijuana.
