Wichita Falls police arrested a man after he ran from police and then pointed a taser at an officer’s face.

On Tuesday, 24-year-old Trey Moore was pulled over near 7th and Baylor in Wichita Falls. Officers contacted Moore and were given a fake name. They then attempted to arrest Moore for failure to identify and at that time Moore ran from police.

Police used a taser on Moore and he continued to fight with them. Moore was then able to gain control of the taser and pointed it at the officer’s face. The officer was able to regain control of the weapon and Moore ran away again. He was finally cornered in a home in the 700 block of Warford and after another short scuffle they were able to place him under arrest.

Moore was found to have been in possession of various identification and social security cards from multiple people.

Moore was booked into the Wichita County jail and was charged with taking a weapon from a peace officer, failure to identify, evading arrest, resisting arrest, criminal trespass and possession of identifying information.
