WICHITA FALLS, TX (KAUZ) -

A Wichita Falls woman was arrested Monday after biting a police officer.

On Monday around 5:15 p.m. Wichita Falls police were requested to back a Game Warden who had initiated a traffic stop for a woman who was driving erratically.

The driver was identified as 25-year-old Hazel Walden. The Game Warden arrested Walden after an investigation and was placed in the front seat of the Game Warden’s truck. Walden began hitting her head into the side window. She was then placed in the back of a WFPD patrol car which was better equipped to transport a suspect. Walden began banging against the partition in the car and the officers driving pulled over and requested leg shackles be brought to his location

When backup arrived, Walden was pulled out of the car and while officers were attempting to place the shackles on her she continued to resist. In the scuffle, she bit a WFPD officer.

Walden was eventually transported to jail and charged with assault on a public servant, resisting arrest, driving while license invalid and driving while intoxicated with a child under 15.
