WICHITA FALLS, TX (KAUZ) - A man with two guns strapped to his chest was arrested in Wichita Falls on Wednesday after police were called about a suspicious person.
Officers were called to the 2100 block of Clarinda after a lady reported a person may be breaking into vehicles. When officers arrived the lady said she had found a white man in a black coat carrying a backpack and duffel bag inside her vehicle. The vehicle was parked in her garage at the time. She said after she confronted the man he walked away.
Officers were patrolling the area when another resident waved them down and said a man matching the original description was sitting in a nearby backyard. The officers made contact with the man who was identified as 25-year-old Joshua Jones.
Police said Jones had two handguns in holsters strapped to his body and the serial numbers had been destroyed. Jones does not have a license to carry. Jones was arrested and charged with 2 counts each of unlawful carrying of a weapon and tampering with serial numbers.
