Duff, Panferova and Kontaki each tallied straight-set wins to begin singles play with Kontaki recording the clincher at No. 2 with a 6-1, 6-4 triumph over Porter for her eighth-straight win to move to 9-2 overall. Duff earned the first point for the Mustangs in singles with a 6-3, 6-2 win over Wright at No. 3 while Panferova took down Valencia, 6-1, 6-2, at the top spot.

Lazzarotto closed out the match at No. 5, rallying from a 9-5 deficit in the super tiebreaker to earn a 6-4, 4-6, 11-9 result over Xiao.

Midwestern State recorded a 6-3 victory over in-region rival Metro State (Colo.) in its return to the MSU Tennis Center Tuesday with the 15th-ranked Mustangs taking two of three doubles matches while earning four straight-set wins in singles play.

The ninth-ranked tandem of senior Ramon Toyos and sophomore Dillon Pineda led Midwestern State (7-5) to its first point of the afternoon with an 8-6 victory over Josh Graetz and Joey Tscherne at No. 1 doubles. Sophomore Dylan Hall and freshman Angel Palacios followed with an 8-5 triumph on court two over Sam Stember and Keenan Kaltenbacher to extend the lead to 2-0.

Metro State (6-4) avoided the doubles sweep with Calum Hayes and Alejandro Martinez-Morilla defeating senior Chris Norrie and freshman Denney Norrie, 8-5, at No. 3.
