WICHITA FALLS, TX (KAUZ) -

The YMCA held a two-fold event at the Kemp at the Forum on Speedway in Wichita Falls on Tuesday.

At the first event, long term volunteers and donors of the YMCA were recognized and praised for their hard work and generosity.

After that, a big moment as the YMCA kicked off their annual youth fund raising campaign

“Our goal is $100,000,” Noel Filer of the YMCA said. “We use all of that money to help children in our community who really want to be a part of our programs, but can’t afford the full rate. We don’t turn anyone away, we don’t leave any stone unturned.”

Last year the YMCA of Wichita Falls helped 12,000 neighbors with the goal of improving their spirit, mind and body.

To donate you can give online, by mail or drop off a check to any YMCA branch.
