THROCKMORTON COUNTY, TX (KAUZ) -

A car wreck claims the life of two Throckmorton teenagers Friday night.

According to DPS officials, 18-year-old Brianna Paige Navarro and 13-year-old Charles Jesus Navarro were killed in the wreck.

They were both pronounced dead at local hospitals.

A two-year-old girl who was also in the vehicle with them was taken to the hospital but has been released.

The 61-year-old man, of Breckenridge, who was driving the other vehicle had no injuries.

DPS officials said the crash happened at 5:40 p.m. on U.S. 183 in Throckmorton County.

They said the 61-year-old man was traveling south on U.S. 183 when the other car driven by Navarro entered the southbound lane on the wrong side of the road.

They said the man tried braking but was unable to avoid hitting the young girl's SUV.

The two teens were not wearing seat belts.

The crash is still under investigation.
