Today is a first alert weather day with widespread strong to severe storms expected this evening and overnight. A few thunderstorms are possible this morning but the risk of widespread severe weather comes this evening and later tonight. Thunderstorms will develop in west Texas and move into Texoma by late afternoon. Tornadoes can't be ruled our but the main concern will be hail large enough to do damage, flooding rains and damaging straight line winds. Storms will be widespread tonight and may linger in the area through 2 or 3AM. Our weather will calm down through the day Wednesday into Thursday. Another disturbance will come Saturday and Sunday and it brings thunderstorms back to the forecast.
