Law enforcement officials are asking for the public's help in solving the 2007 murder of Linda Muegge, 55, in Fredericksburg.

DPS officials said a reward up to $6,000 is being offered for information if the tip is received before next month's featured case is announced.

The Gillespie County Crime Stoppers also is offering a reward up to $10,000.

On May 14, 2007, investigators believe Muegge arrived at her home on Franklin Street around 5:30 p.m. Just before 8:00 p.m. witnesses reporter her house on fire.

Muegge was found dead inside after the fire was extinguished.

An autopsy determined blunt force trauma was the cause of death.

At the time of her death, Muegge was the owner of The Peasant Kitchen catering business in Fredericksburg.

To be eligible for the cash rewards, tipsters must provide information to authorities by calling the Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-252-TIPS (8477).  All tips are anonymous.
