WICHITA FALLS, TX (KAUZ) - Patsy's House is hosting its 7th Annual Pinwheels for Patsy's House kickoff this weekend.
Saturday afternoon, the event, that kicks off Child Abuse Prevention and Awareness Month, will take place at Patterson Honda on the corner of Jacksboro Highway and E Central Freeway.
1,400 pinwheels will be put into the ground there. That number represents the number of confirmed child abuse cases in Wichita County in 2016. A $20 donation will get a pinwheel pulled from the ground.
The goal is to have every pinwheel removed symbolically putting an end to child abuse.
There will be plenty of family friendly activities to take part in this Saturday.
The fun is taking place from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
