WICHITA FALLS, TX (KAUZ) - A Wichita Falls man is behind bars after being stopped by police on Thursday night.
Officers said Reginald Cortez Cage was riding a bike on Scott Street before they stopped him for not having a light.
Police said Cage agreed to be searched and officers found a small baggie, they believed contained drugs, on him.
Cage grabbed that baggie from the officer and took off running down 7th Street and ended up on Lamar.
That is when an officer tased Cage, but they said it had no effect on him. He was ordered to the ground but did not follow those orders so an officer hit him with a baton and pepper-sprayed him.
Cage was eventually taken into custody. The baggie that was found contained 1.5 grams of meth.
The 35-year-old was hauled off to jail. He is facing a lengthy list of charges including Manufacture and Delivery of a Controlled Substance, Tamper/Fabricate
Physical Evidence, Resisting Arrest, Evading Arrest and Assault on a Public Servant.
As of noon Friday no bond amount has been set.
