WICHITA FALLS, TX (KAUZ) - A Wichita Falls man is behind bars after police said he stole a toy from a home.
Just before 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday evening officers were called out to a home in the 2100 block of Avenue E.
Witnesses told police a man had walked into the home, took a rifle and then took off in a beige Chevrolet Impala.
Officers found the suspect vehicle on that same block with Francisco Esparza, 35, inside.
Police said they saw what appeared to be a rifle laying across the center console of the vehicle.
After further inspection, the rifle turned out to be a toy.
The homeowner was contacted and told police they did not know Esparza and he was not given permission to be in their home.
Esparza was taken to the Wichita County Jail where he has been charged with Burglary of a Habitation and Driving While License Invalid-Enhanced.
