WICHITA FALLS, TX - A former Pizza Hut manager is behind bars after his employer accused him of embezzling thousand of dollars.
In early March, a representative with Pizza Hut came to the Wichita Falls Police Department to report a theft of $16,133 from the store located on the 2500 block of Seymour Highway by an employee.
They told officers that Cody James Armstrong-Lopez had embezzled money from the company for over a year by changing rates given to delivery drivers.
They claimed Armstrong-Lopez was raising the amount delivery drivers were given per delivery and pocketing the difference. Documentation along with surveillance was provided to police.
When officers contacted Armstrong-Lopez he denied taking the money but after more discussion admitted to taking what he estimated to be around $5,000.
Armstrong-Lopez was arrested and charged with Theft Over $2,500 Under $30,000.
