WICHITA FALLS, TX (KAUZ) - Sheppard Air Force Base hosted its Combat BBQ Saturday.
More than 30 teams made their way through a timed obstacle course that included a truck pull and other events.
Senior Master Sergeant Scott Schreck helped put together and organize the festivities, and he said it is a great morale booster for the base.
Schreck said the airmen work hard and should be allowed to play even harder when they have down time.
"It's a great time to let our hair down if we had a lot of hair," said Sgt. Schreck. "It's a good time for families to come out and just enjoy Sheppard."
Burgers and hot dogs were served. Even those not competing were able to have a good time with yard games for adults and a bounce house for kids and children to play in.
