Hometown Pride Tour: Hidden gem in downtown Bowie

BOWIE, TX (KAUZ) - The city of Bowie is celebrating the 150th anniversary of the Chisholm Trail this weekend.

As we continue the Newschannel 6 Hometown Pride Tour this week in Montague County our first stop is in downtown Bowie.

Nostalgia Antique Shop is full of treasures. Opened in 1992, Nostalgia quickly became known for more than just antiques and serving cheesecake, bottled drinks, and coffee.

For 23 years Nostalgia has been serving food, inviting diners to the restaurant to have a meal amongst all the treasures collected over the years.

Lunch is served from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 o.m. Tuesday through Saturday.

Nostalgia also offers an old time soda fountain and countless ice cream treats including ice cream floats. 140 people can dine in at Nostalgia.

The owners stay within a 100-mile radius of Bowie to find items for their shop.

Built in 1984, the building Nostalgia sits in includes items of every genre including a phone booth that is covered in signatures from visitors.

Today, we will have guests from the Bowie Chamber of Commerce on Newschannel 6 at 6:00 p.m. to talk to us about the all the things happening around town. Be sure to join us.
