Broken window and verbal threats lands woman in jail

WICHITA FALLS, TX (KAUZ) -

A Wichita Falls woman is behind bars after police said tried to climb into a residence through a broken window. 

Around 12:30 a.m. Tuesday morning officers were called to the scene in the 4800 block of Brookdale in reference to possible shots fired. 

When police got on scene they spoke with the victim who said she was inside her apartment with her boyfriend when they heard the sound of glass breaking. 

When she went to go investigate she saw Lonisha Jones, 28, standing outside of her apartment yelling for the victim to come outside. Jones was also making threats to assault the victim. 

The victim said her boyfriend went outside to confront Jones at which time Jones tried to climb through the broken window while continuing to threaten to harm the victim. 

Jones was heard saying she was going to come back and "shoot up" the apartment. 

Police caught up with Jones at Mistletoe Drive and Dennis Boulevard. She was arrested and charged with Burglary of a Habitation.

Jones is behind bars in the Wichita County Jail on a $10,000 bond.
