WF city council approves funds for library damage

WICHITA FALLS, TX (KAUZ) - Wichita Falls is moving forward on paying for fixing damage caused in the library a month and a half ago from a broken sprinkler head.

Tuesday city councilors approved a resolution to set aside $83,000 to take care of the damages.

Jack Murphy, Wichita Falls Director of Parks and Recreation, said maybe a couple thousand books were affected by the failed sprinkler.

The malfunction caused the library to close for two days while crews cleaned and repaired the damaged the water caused.
