WICHITA FALLS, TX (KAUZ) - Wichita Falls city leaders are working to try and market the former Stanley Tools Building to sell it.
Tuesday council members passed two resolutions.
One was to hire a broker to market the property.
The second was to pay $185,000 dollars to keep up with the building.
Darron Leiker, the Wichita Falls City Manager, said they are taking these steps to try and get it off the books.
"We don't want to hold onto it very long," Leiker said. "We want a viable business in there that creates jobs and pays property taxes in that building as soon as possible."
Leiker said it is important to keep the building in the best shape possible while trying to market it so it can be sold as soon as possible.
