The Wichita Falls PRCA rodeo kicked off Friday night at the J.S. Bridwell AG Center.
Dozens came out to show their support. The cool part about this event, a calf scramble is helping provide scholarships to college-bound students in the FFA program.
"Whoever catches a calf gets a $500 scholarship to put towards an AG project of their choice or towards scholarships to go to college," said Beka McNerlin, a PRCA Rodeo Committee Member.
Last year $5,000 in scholarships were given to FFA students, and this year Archer County High Schools are participating for the first time.
There is also a trade show. It is free to attend, and the doors open up again on Saturday at 10 a.m.
The rodeo starts back up at 7 p.m. where there will be saddle bronc riding, bareback riding and more rodeo fun.
