WICHITA FALLS, TX (KAUZ) - A graduating senior at Midwestern State University will deliver the commencement address at the graduation ceremony on May 13th.
Megan Piehler is expected to deliver a speech to nearly 700 students earning their degrees this May.
Piehler is receiving a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication with a double minor in Public Relations and Advertising, and Spanish.
Piehler is a member of the Alpha Chi National College Honor Society and Gamma Phi Beta Sorority.
She was the recipient of MSU's two highest awards during her undergrad career, the Clark Scholar Award, and the Hardin Scholar award.
Texas Governor Greg Abbott appointed Piehler as the 2015-2016 student regent, the highest appointed position of a student at Texas public institutions of higher education.
She was a member of the Student Government Association and the Redwine Honors Society Committee. Piehler also served as a senator for the American Advertising Federation at MSU.
