ELECTRA, TX (KAUZ) - The Electra High School Tiger Theatre's production of Moon Over Buffalo brought the school many awards at the UIL State Championship.

The production itself was named first runner-up winning the silver medal in division 2A. Cristin Martin was named Best Actress in division 2A, and according to director Vicki Dillard, this award means Martin was considered the best actress in the state.

Cameron Cunningham won All-Star Cast and Janna-Maree Nelson received honorable mention for All Star Cast. Dillard said only eight participants are recognized in these categories.

Ray Dillard, Lorre Shafer, and Brenda Beebe assisted Vicki Dillard for the production. The final performance will be held on Saturday, May 6th at the Electra Tiger Theatre.

Dinner will be served from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and the show will begin a little after 7:00 p.m. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased by any cast member or you can call Electra High School at 940-781-3884.
