Runners brave rain for Circle Trail Tour

WICHITA FALLS, TX - Despite the cold and rainy start Saturday people were getting up and hitting the trails.

The 4th annual Circle Trail tour, hosted by the Wichita County Health District kicked off this morning at the health department.

The stopping point, Lake Wichita Park totaling just over 13 miles.

Brian Lester who works in risk management with the city of Wichita Falls said this gives people a different view of the place many call home.

"There's some places on this trail that when you get out here you forget you're in the city," said Lester.  "It's beautiful it's well maintained...and it's something we as a community should be proud of."

Parts of the Circle Trail are still being worked on but once the construction is completed it will be the only trail in Texas that goes the circumference of a city.
