HARDEMAN COUNTY, TX (KAUZ) -

Nearly 60 pounds of marijuana was found during a traffic stop in Hardeman County on Saturday.

A Texas DPS Trooper stopped a vehicle around 1:00 p.m. along U.S. 287 near Chillicothe for a traffic violation.

During a search of the vehicle, three large duffle bags were found in the trunk. Inside those duffle bags were vacuum-packed bundles of marijuana.

The driver, Ihab Munir Jamil Alzaghari, 23, of Houston, was arrested and charged with Felony Possession of Marijuana.

Alzaghari was booked into the Wilbarger County Jail.

DPS officials said the marijuana was worth $358,000 and was likely being taken from San Francisco to Houston.
