AUSTIN, TX (KAUZ) - Prices at the pump will be in favor of Fourth of July travelers.
The statewide average for a gallon of regular unleaded is $2.04. That is five cents less than last week and eight cents less than this time last year.
The national average for a gallon of regular unleaded is $2.24, which is four cents less than last week and five cents less than this time last year.
Gas prices fell in all but three states this week. AAA Texas expects 2.7 million drivers will hit the road to celebrate the Fourth of July.
