Wichita Falls business celebrates one year in community

WICHITA FALLS, TX -

One Wichita Falls business is celebrating its one year anniversary this weekend with a party.

Madson's Tack and Equine opened its doors last year to sell horse riding tools and accessories.

After seeing success in the first few months, they decided to move to a new location on Missile Road where they also had their grand opening of the new location.

Saturday, people celebrated the opening with different vendors, raffle prizes, and for the kids an appearance from Sir Lumpy the pony.
Owners of the shop said there is a reason why small businesses thrive in Wichita Falls.

"The community makes or breaks the business," said Djamie Madson, owner of the shop.  "We have emcompased every aspect of a small business by incorporating local artists in our store we offer customer service that the big people cant do.  Amazon Prime will not put your bit on your bridal for you."

Madson said for the future she wants to see her business grow in educating those about properly riding and caring for horses.
