Up and coming restaurant cooks up with local ingredients

WICHITA FALLS, TX - A new restaurant has made its way to the Wichita Falls Farmer's Market in hopes to show off their plan of cooking with only fresh ingredients.

Fox Hill restaurant has a motto of "Farm to Fork," taking pride in taking vegetables they have grown in the garden on their property and using them in their dishes.

Saturday, they offered up bacon wrapped squash and cheesy zucchini for the public.

So far the business has been doing pop up dinners in Wichita Falls but are excited to have a permanent location to teach the public about how important it is to eat local.

"It's a new culture push," said Thomas Nixon, a chef at FoxHill.  "It's always been there but it's kind of been forgotten and you can only imagine the next 100 years.  Where is farming going to go?  Where is it going to be?  All these people, how do we keep this knowledge within the realm of everybody?"

Those working with FoxHill hope to be open at their permanent location by October.
