WALTERS, OK (KAUZ) -

According to fire officials, a man and a woman were taken to the hospital after their plane had engine difficulties Saturday near Walters, Oklahoma.

Clarence Bivins, Interim Fire Chief with the Walters Fire Department, said the pilot made an emergency landing in a field about a mile south of the Walters Airport around 10:57 a.m.

The Walters Fire Department along with the Cotton County Sheriff's Office responded to the incident.

Bivins said the two had minor injuries from the bumpy landing and were taken to United Regional in Wichita Falls.
