Long time prosecutor announces run for 30th District Court Judge

WICHITA FALLS, TX -

Large crowds were at the Wichita County Courthouse steps Thursday morning for the announcement of a long time prosecutor throwing his hat in the ring for 30th District Court Judge.

Wichita County prosecutor, Dobie Kosub announced that after 16 years as a prosecutor, he hopes to become the next judge for the county.

Kosub said he is running in hope to bring fairness to the county.

"Absolute fairness and equality for everybody," said Kosub. "Impartiality and independence at the bench. I want people to have a sense of confidence of the court when they come in they know they will be treated fairly."

The announcement comes two weeks after Judge Bob Brotherton said he would be stepping down from the spot after serving for 29 years.
