Triple digits are likely today. There won't be much change in the forecast through the weekend. Highs will remain near or above 100 through Sunday. Heat Index may be as high as 105 especially in and around the DFW and OKC metro areas where they are under a heat advisory. Take the proper heat precautions. Drink a lot of water, take breaks, and wear sunscreen. The UV index will be extreme between the hours of 11 am and 1 pm. Lows will dip into the mid 70s. There will be slight break in the high pressure ridge that is dominating our weather pattern. We could see a slight chance for rain this weekend and temperatures a couple of degrees cooler in the upper 90s by Monday. The ridge will quickly rebuild however and the triple digits will likely be back by the end of next week.
