WICHITA FALLS, TX - Those flying in and out of the airport got to visit some four legged friends today at "Fur flying" at the Wichita Falls Regional Airport.
This partner with the airport and the City of Wichita Falls Animal Services held an adoption day.
Lots of hopeful tail wagers were hopeful to find their forever home.
Katrina Mitchell with the City of Wichita Falls Animal Services said she is excited to see more people adopting pets.
"We want our shelter to be empty a lot of the times people are coming through our doors and they are adopting our all of our dogs and our cats and our puppies and kittens and whatever else we may get you know we wish more people would look to adopt and that is their first option," said Mitchell. "Shelter pets there is nothing wrong with them they're homeless they just don't have a home or a family so they make the best pets."
Wichita Falls Animal Services also had a booth set up to microchip pets and also give out city licenses for pet owners.
The event runs until 2 p.m. Saturday.
