SAN ANTONIO, TX (KAUZ) - A rural school district in south Texas has reinstated the use of corporal punishment according to a CBS News report.
The Three Rivers Independent School District, about 75 miles south of San Antonio, approved the plan on Tuesday night.
Parents will have to sign off on the use of corporal punishment on their kids. Students will receive one spanking for minor incidents.
The use of corporal punishment in larger school districts throughout the state has been banned almost across the board. Smaller, rural districts still sometimes allow the practice with some stipulations.
