WICHITA FALLS, TX (KAUZ) - A Wichita Falls man, accused of murder, has been charged with three counts of Possession of Child Pornography.
Thursday, Kody Lott was served behind bars in the Wichita County Jail with the new charges.
Lott is accused of shooting Lauren Landavazo and Makayla Smith as the two walked home from school on Friday, September 2, 2016.
Landavazo lost her life. Following the shooting, the Wichita Falls Police Department seized several of Lott's belongings including two cell phones.
According to the arrest affidavit, the phones were sent to an FBI lab to be accessed by trained professionals after a search warrant was approved.
FBI technicians found 'multiple' pornographic images on one of the cell phones. Officials said the images depicted girls younger than 18-years-old engaging in 'sexually explicit act.'
Lott is behind bars in the Wichita County Jail and is expected to stand trial for murder later this year.
