Youth group comes to Wichita Falls to volunteer for local non-profit

WICHITA COUNTY, TX (KAUZ) -

A church group from the Longview area have spent the last three days volunteering for an organization that build homes for those in need.

The Eastmont Baptist Church, finished up their last day volunteering Saturday at the Habitat for Humanity Re-store.

The re-store is a shop where people can find house hold goods and appliances and all the proceeds go toward building homes for people in need in Wichita Falls.

The youth group cleaned up the shop and re organized to make room for more donations.

This was apart of a mission trip for church.

"It makes me feel heart warming when you think about like this stuff is going to somebody else need," said Mikie Webb, a volunteer with the youth group.  "Helping them out is just one of those things that you do."

This is not the first time for the teens to volunteer for people in need.

Last year, they helped fix a house for a man in their community and some even took part in food drives.
