While rain is not a guarantee today we'll all benefit from cloud cover, helping to keep temperatures in check. The average high temperature this time of the year is 98. Today's forecast highs are in the mid and upper 80s. Today's best rain chances will be in our northern and western counties. Again the prevailing weather pattern brings at least a slight chance of rain daily. Both clouds and rain will help to prevent typical summer heat. A cold front will slide through Thursday night into Friday bringing another chance of showers and thunderstorms. We'll carry slight rain chances into the weekend with highs near 90.
