WICHITA FALLS, TX (KAUZ) - The school year is right around the corner and so is the sales tax holiday in Texas.
This year's sales tax holiday weekend is Friday, August 11 through Sunday, August 13.
The law exempts most clothing, footwear, school supplies and backpacks priced less than $100 from sales and use taxes.
This could save shoppers about $8 on every $100 they spend.
Items sold online can also qualify for exemption during this holiday period and shoppers can also use layaway plans.
