WICHITA FALLS, TX (KAUZ) -

This weekend the North Texas Area United Way staff and volunteers will be accepting school supplies for children in need.

The Fill the Bus school supply campaign will take place this Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the Walmart on Lawrence Road.

All donations will benefit Project Back to School, which gives school supplies to more than 6,000 economically disadvantaged students in Head Start through 12th grade.

Monetary donations will also be accepted during the Fill the Bus campaign. A donation of $20 will cover the cost of a backpack and age-appropriate school supplies.
