Each week we highlight an active or past member of the military in our Heroes of Texoma segment.
This week our Hero of Texoma is Vietnam Veteran, Larry Cozby.
Larry Cozby served in the United States Air Force and Army for 30 years.
Larry has served all over the United States including in Alaska.
He's also traveled to multiple countries like the Philippines.
His father was killed during World War II and is buried in France.
Larry says that his father was the main influence for him to enlist.
"I joined, actually I wasn't supposed to, at 15 years old.That was in the Arkansas National Guard and then I went into active duty at 17," said Cozby.
Cozby moved to Wichita Falls in 1979 and has lived here since.
He helps with the Iwo Jima reunion held in Wichita Falls every year.
