Woman sent to hospital following accident on 6th and Austin

WICHITA FALLS, TX (KAUZ) -

A two-vehicle accident around 5:00 p.m. caused a downtown intersection to be shut down Friday evening.

The corner of Austin and 6th Street opened up around 6:00 p.m. following the crash.

Wichita Falls Police Department officers on the scene said a small SUV was exiting the highway as a car traveling on 6th Street tried into the far right lane when it hit the SUV. 

Police said one woman was hurt and take to the hospital. Her injuries are non-life threatening.
