VERNON, TX (KAUZ) - According to the BNSF Railway, a man was killed last night after he was hit by a train in Vernon.
Joseph Foust, the BNSF spokesman, said the man was hit Friday around 8:00 p.m. and was pronounced dead around 8:35 p.m.
Foust was unable to release details about the exact location the incident happened but did say it did not take place at a railroad crossing.
Foust said the victim was on foot at the time and the train's camera footage will be used during the investigation.
The Vernon Daily Record has confirmed the victim's name is Domingo Limon.
