Man arrested following road rage incident in Wichita Falls

WICHITA FALLS, TX (KAUZ) - A Wichita Falls man was arrested on Sunday following a road rage incident according to Wichita Falls PD.

Clinton Thompson,38, has been charged with Aggravated Assault after officers said he pointed a gun at someone. Police were called out to a 'moving disturbance' around 1:00 pm near Sisk Road and Southwest Parkway.

Officers located the parties involved in the area of Langford Lane and Legacy Drive. The victim told police that Thompson began 'flipping him off' and using profanity as they were driving on FM 1954.

The victim said once they got to the intersection of Sisk Road and Southwest Parkway he tried to slow down to allow Thompson to go ahead of him. As the victim began driving eastbound on Southwest Parkway he said Thompson slammed on his brakes causing the victim to stop.

That is when the victim said Thompson got out of his vehicle and came up to the victim's driver side door and pointed a handgun at the victim. Officers were able to find a loaded handgun inside Thompson's vehicle.

Police say Thompson had more than three guns on him at the time of his arrest. He was arrested and booked into the Wichita County Jail charged with Aggravated Assault.
