Today will play out much like yesterday did with partly cloudy skies light winds and highs in the low 90s. Temperatures will climb daily for the rest of the week and we could see highs near 100 degrees by Friday. A ridge of high pressure is building over Texas is keeping temperatures hot and rain chances slim. Between now and the weekend, rain chances may actually be quite good for places like Amarillo and Oklahoma City while the ridge of high pressure will prevent good rain chances for much of Texoma. Forecast models suggest improving rain chances Sunday into Monday.
