WICHITA FALLS, TX - The punishment phase continued Wednesday for Charles Johnson, who pleaded guilty Tuesday to an Aggravated Robbery charge in the 2015 hold up of Texoma Armory on Southwest Parkway.
Wednesday was the defense's turn to ask questions. They called Johnson to the stand, where he was asked about his childhood.
Johnson told the jury he grew up in a great household raised by his grandparents, but admits to making bad decisions in his late teens to early adult life.
Johnson told the jury he hates that people were hurt in the incident at Texoma Armory. The defense also called Johnson's mother and sister to the stand.
They say he was a good kid that just hung out with the wrong crowd. Johnson is up to 99 years in prison.
The jury will hear closing arguments Thursday at 1:00 pm before going into deliberation. For a closer look at what took place on day one of this trial click here.
