WICHITA COUNTY, TX (KAUZ) -

The Wichita County Sheriff's Office has confirmed to Newschannel 6 the woman who was seriously injured following an incident on TX-240 near the Cashion Community has died.

Deputy Melvin Joyner said the victim is Kelli Marie Moss, 30. Deputy Joyner said the WCSO did not have the exact time she passed at this time.

The WCSO is working to learn what led to Moss falling or being pushed out of a moving vehicle along TX-240 near the Cashion Community Wednesday afternoon.

WCSO officials said around 4:00 pm deputies were called to the scene following a witnesses call saying a woman fell out of a car.

We're told first responders performed CPR on Moss at the scene before she was rushed to the hospital with head injuries.

The driver told authorities he was driving around 40 mph when the door came open and she fell out.
