Congressman Beto O'Rourke stops by Wichita Falls Area Food Bank during campaign

WICHITA FALLS, TX (KAUZ) -

U.S. Congressman Francis "Beto" O'Rourke (D, TX) made a campaign stop in Wichita Falls as he makes his way around the state. O'Rourke is running for Senator Ted Cruz seat.

Before his meet and greet at the Highlander Public House, O'Rourke made a stop at the Wichita Falls Area Food Bank to make some "Power" food packs for children in need.

Rep. O'Rourke said nonprofits like the Food Bank helps thousands of people. He said he wants to make sure they can continue to help those in need.

"I've met a lot of people who are having a hard time getting to work or having a hard time living on a social security check," Rep. O'Rourke said. "They are going to have a hard time getting by."
